Holiday Blessings

I celebrated my mom's 96th birthday this weekend, going out to dinner with family, and putting up her tree.  When I called her yesterday, she gold me she was sitting on the couch looking at her tree, counting her blessings.  Gifts were not at the top of her blessings list, but rather the time her family spends with her.  Whether it's birthdays, kids coming home for the holidays (even if the surprise is given away!), cutting the tree, baking cookies, enjoying concerts, or other traditions your family has this time of year - it's the time spent together that is the blessing. Her comment reminded me to do the same - to look at the tree, and count my blessings. Despite the craziness of this time of year, try to take a breath, and just enjoy the moment.  These are our blessings!

Wishing you a long list of holiday blessings!
Sue
