Week Before Spring Break!

 Week Before Spring Break!

ALL WEEK:

Underground Dress Up

🕵️‍♂️ Top Secret: Mission "UndergroundThe goal? Maximum participation, minimum explanation. Let’s see if the students can crack the code while we keep our cool.

The Mission Briefing:

DateOperationInstructions
Mon, Mar 9Operation Stealth ModeWear all black. Move quietly. Act mysterious.
Tue, Mar 10Freeze Frame FrenzyWhen you lock eyes with a colleague in the hall, pause dramatically. Hold it until they pass.  If you’re mid-conversation with a student and see a coworker, feel free to do a slow-motion head turn for extra dramatic effect.
Wed, Mar 11Operation Cozy CovertTactical comfort. Wear your favorite pajamas or loungewear.
Thu, Mar 12Classified Clipboard DayCarry a clipboard everywhere. Consult it frequently with an expression of deep concern. If you don't have a clipboard, a folder held with extreme intensity also works.
Fri, Mar 13Tiny Accessory TakeoverCheck your mailboxes Friday morning for the "Identical Item." Wear it all day—let’s see if the kids notice the glitch in the matrix. Keep the tiny accessory visible but don't draw attention to it.

The Golden Rule: If a student asks what’s going on, you know nothing. We are just being our usual, professional selves.

Good luck, agents. This message will self-destruct (or just get buried in your inbox) shortly.

Special Events Schedule

Reading Minutes Goal - Mystery Prize

Teachers will get a Willow Reads notebook in their mailbox for each student - you can determine when to pass them out!

Read Around Willow

Teachers:

  • determine where you want to have your class read, to somehow connect with the K or 1st hallway
  • decide if you want to read with your buddies
  • bring a container to collect your books when you're done as we will move right into the Willow River Walk
  • be in your spot at 3:00 sharp!

Willow River Walk - route

  • an announcement will be made when the walk starts, to transition from reading to walking
  • the walk will start at Alison's classroom/stairs, and teachers can fall into place to make a long line of students
  • I will need 3 adults to be stationed to keep things moving safely - let me know if you are interested
  • There will be 25 Wolfies hidden along the route - see if your class can find all of them!
  • the last part of the walk is the catwalk - then classes can return to their classrooms (with their bin of books)
And then... it's SPRING BREAK!
