In the words of Bali Rai (children's author), we are reminded of the positive impacts of reading. We know that reading is obviously important to understand the words on the page, but it is also the foundation of one's ability to learn, and ultimately, ability to function in an ever-changing world. It's impossible to image a life without being able to read. You couldn't understand anything on social media, be able to text, or even make a new recipe! Something as simple as reading the clothing label for washing instructions would be impossible without the ability to read.
As we move into I Love to Read month, our goal is to get kids excited and motivated about reading! Here are some things to share with your students, as you choose. We have a great month ahead of things to build and encourage the love of reading!
