Music & Art Show

 

This year's Music & Art Show is coming soon!  This year's theme is Upcycling.  Upcycling, also known as creative reuse, is the process of transforming unused or unwanted products into new materials perceived to be of greater quality, such as artistic or environmental value.  While it seems a ways off, it will be here soon - the week we return after spring break!

This year's show will look a little different, as we are not having the art silent auction, but we have some new ideas to try! We will have artwork displayed, as well as art stations for families to enjoy.  There will  be a musical talent show, a scavenger hunt, and food to enjoy.  A big thank you to Lindsey, Hannah, and hte parent group for their roles in getting this show on the road!

Do you have an artistic or musical talent to share with families?  Please let Lindsey or Sue know if you are willing to have a station for families to enjoy.  A budget will be provided for materials.

Please encourage any child to sign up for a performance time by completing this form.  This can include individual performances, friends, and/or family members joining in.  Staff can also sing up!! Please let Mrs. Jentzsch know if anyone has any questions. We are looking forward to seeing our Willow talent!

We will need volunteers to help put up artwork the week of March 21-25th.  Please let Hannah know if you can help after school the week after spring break (Tuesday and Thursday after school, Friday 12:00-1:30). Artwork Volunteer SignUp Genius. 

We are excited to be able to celebrate this unique opportunity in person for the first time in a few years!  I hope some of you are able to join us in sharing the information, helping to set up, and/or attending the special event on March 25th!  

This Music & Art Show speaks to the heart and soul of WIllow River Elementary! I am excited to be a part of it this year, and look forward to celebrating with the Willow community!
